In the firm belief that every person has the right to a dignified, equal, comfortable and independent life, considerable resources have been invested to simplify the use of the site with the aim of making it more accessible for people with disabilities.
The City of Rijeka recognizes the importance of ensuring digital accessibility for all users, with special emphasis on easier access to public services and information for people with disabilities, applying, to the greatest extent possible, the Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council of October 26, 2016 on accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.
The City of Rijeka continuously improves the user experience by applying relevant accessibility standards according to the guidelines and standardization of web content (WCAG 2.1), the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) an organization that deals with the standardization of web technologies.
