EUROPE DIRECT Rijeka, operating within the Rijeka Development Agency Porin, is part of the EUROPE DIRECT network of information centers in Croatia and the European Union, managed by the European Commission. This network, with over 400 centers across the EU, including 11 in Croatia, plays a key role in connecting European institutions with citizens.
EUROPE DIRECT Rijeka acts as an extended arm of the European Commission, providing citizens with information about the opportunities, benefits, and resources offered by the European Union. The center primarily focuses on the local population of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County and the City of Rijeka, offering access to information about EU funds, programs, and policies, as well as opportunities to participate in various initiatives.
All center services are free for citizens; however, it is important to note that the center does not provide legal advice or interpret EU legislation. Citizens can inquire about EU policies, programs, and priorities and participate in events and activities that enable their active involvement in shaping the future of the European Union—and their own future.
