Porto Baros will provide mooring services and accommodation for guests on vessels on the organized sea area, and on the land coastal strip it will offer hospitality and shopping facilities and parking services; nautical facilities in the marina include piers for boat accommodation, reception, boat maintenance and repair workshop, vessel service area, etc., while catering and commercial facilities include tourist services in congress tourism, accommodation units for boaters, restaurants, shopping facilities etc.

The company ACI-Gitone is the holder of the concession on the maritime property, which is granted for the purpose of the construction and economic use of a special purpose port – the port of nautical tourism Porto Baros on the part of the Stari Grad (Old Town), City of Rijeka. 

The nautical tourism port Porto Baros foresees an investment worth 50 million EUR in the period from 2023 to 2026, and with this investment it will become the largest marina for mega yachts in this part of the Mediterranean. Within its scope are the existing maritime buildings (port substructure) – Ruzic pier, Susak breakwater, Senj and Vinodol piers, and the buildings (port superstructure) of port warehouses number 40, 41 and the customs office. Area of ​​the maritime property – port area, land (29,979 m2) and sea (75,918 m2) part, total 105,897 m2. The concession is granted for a period of 30 years. Marina Porto Baros will be an elite marina with the highest categorization of 5 anchors and 260 moorings with an average length of 19 m. Also, the investment foresees the direct employment of more than 130 people.
