The project “Construction of municipal infrastructure in the Bodulovo Business Zone” was carried out from October 2019 to September 2022, with the aim of expanding the infrastructure support system for small and medium-sized enterprises in the city of Rijeka.

By constructing municipal infrastructure in the Bodulovo Business Zone, nine building plots totaling approximately 20,000 square meters were made available to entrepreneurs, ranging in size from 1,000 to 8,500 square meters. The works included the construction of 872 meters of stormwater drainage, 496 meters of water supply pipelines, 686 meters of sewage pipelines, 1,300 meters of public lighting, 3,590 meters of low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical distribution networks, 690 meters of gas pipelines, and a water pumping station. In addition, more than 2,000 square meters of sidewalk area were built, and 6,318 square meters of road surface were asphalted.

Upon completion of the works, tenders were announced for the sale of land owned by the City of Rijeka – nine building plots in the Bodulovo zone, for which entrepreneurs showed great interest. All 9 building plots were sold through auctions at significantly higher prices than the initial price (61 EUR/m²).

For the construction of municipal infrastructure, the City of Rijeka received co-financing in the amount of 757,892.78 EUR, which was secured from the European Regional Development Fund through the Operational Programme “Competitiveness and Cohesion”.
