For the reference period of 2021 – 2027, KD Autotrolej is expected to replace 55 buses. These are older diesel buses that would be between 15 and 20 years old by 2027. It is planned to gradually phase out these buses and replace them with new vehicles. The procurement of new buses would be carried out in multiple phases, with tenders being issued for the allocation of financial resources.

First phase: Procurement of 20 to 30 buses running on compressed natural gas.

Second phase: Procurement of 20 to 30 buses running on electric power or buses achieving carbon neutrality (zero CO2 emissions) in accordance with EU requirements.
