The project is divided into three components:
Development of a base for alternative-powered vehicles
The project involves the development of space in Milutina Barača Street in the wider center of the city of Rijeka. The idea is to provide a location for charging and parking alternative-powered vehicles, build a charging infrastructure, and purchase buses. The project will be financed from the ITU mechanism.
Digitalization of public transport
The project also includes the procurement of a fleet management and ticketing system, as well as the procurement of an additional 40 monitors for passenger information; the procurement of 170 new driver computers and 170 validators with accompanying software.
Bike path
The project also includes the marking of a bicycle route from Preluk to the center of the city of Rijeka, approximately 16 km long, with the aim of developing sustainable mobility and qualitatively improving alternative, environmentally friendly modes of transport.
